Before you set sail

For our 6–8 hour off-shore fishing trips experience is not needed, however it is important to note that this is a high-intensity activity. We go far, and we go big. Our off-shore fishing trips are suitable for active adults, and are not so much recommended for children below the age of 12 and the elderly. We recommend choosing the Recreational Snorkeling & Fishing trip for families with smaller children and the elderly.
All fishing and snorkeling gear, ice, water and soft drinks, and a knowledgeable local crew. Just bring sun protection and a good mood.
We meet at Club Nautico Marina in Kralendijk, in front of the famous It Rains Fishes Restaurant. Parking is available along the road. Timing will be confirmed upon booking (depending on the chosen trip).
Safety comes first. If conditions aren't right, we'll reschedule to another day or arrange a refund — no stress.

We recommend setting out at 4:00 AM, just before sunrise, to make the most of the prime fishing hours. Our trip begins with a high-speed run offshore to one of the island's FADs (fish aggregating devices), where we jig for tuna during their most active feeding time. As the morning progresses and the tuna bite slows, we switch to a variety of techniques — such as trolling and bottom fishing — to keep the action going. Our captain, born and raised on the island, brings not only professional skill but also an intuitive knowledge of the local waters, ensuring a focused, motivated and truly unforgettable fishing adventure.

Our fishing charters are true extreme fishing experiences, lasting a minimum of 6 hours to reach prime offshore spots and explore different techniques. These trips are best suited for guests in good health, so we kindly recommend that young children (below 12 years old), infants, and those who may find a long day on the ocean challenging choose an alternative excursion instead.

More time on the water means more chances to catch your trophy fish! Time allows for a variety of options: we may explore the very deep waters of the North coast, push into the North-East side of the island, or catch live bait and use it to troll or jig for yellowfin tuna, marlin or sailfish. Depending on weather conditions and the bite, we will either focus on deep drops targeting queen snappers, groupers and amberjacks, or continue trolling for a maximum catch. Our goal is to fill up that fish cooler and give you an adventure of a lifetime! Upon request, we can also run further out and perform deep drops for swordfish.
Most species caught in the waters of Bonaire are edible and highly sought after by our local restaurants. The fish supply is very scarce, so no fish goes to waste. All fish that is kept is shared amongst locals, restaurants and family. Our catch is divided evenly amongst guests, captain and boat. You may choose the type of fish you would like to keep, and the captain will clean, fillet and bag it for you free of charge.
Bonaire offers excellent fishing year-round, with relatively little seasonal variation compared to many other destinations. Offshore, we target pelagic species including mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, sailfish and marlin throughout the year. During the winter months, slightly cooler water temperatures often make the fish even more active, creating outstanding fishing opportunities. For bottom fishing, we regularly catch snapper, amberjack, grouper and almaco jack on the island's deep reefs and drop-offs.
